Deep Sky Compendium (Excel) This spreadsheet helps you to decide on targets in your night sky. Sort by type, size, brightness, altitude, transit time, etc. using the current date and time, your location. It's a database of 3135 deep sky objects, and 26 cross-referenced catalogues. Each object has an image, a description, an imaging rating, a SIMBAD link, an ALADIN link, and 20 pieces of technical data. There's a free companion eBook (PDF), too.
